I was invited here by a friend who had previously had a good experience and spoke highly of the place. Unfortunately, what we encountered was completely the opposite. The bar was completely empty, yet from the first interaction the two young staff members were dismissive and disrespectful. My friend, who is a very polite and kind person, was treated poorly from the beginning. He doesn’t speak English perfectly, and the way they responded to him felt uncomfortable and unnecessary. I’m a mature, experienced person and I could immediately sense something was off. The tone and body language were confrontational for no reason. Even simple requests were met with attitude, and there was no effort to create a welcoming atmosphere. We were calm, respectful, and simply there to enjoy a couple of beers. Instead, we felt unwelcome the entire time. Completely unacceptable behavior for a place in the hospitality industry. I would not recommend it.

Aznap is one of those places you’re happy to stumble upon in Budapest. We stopped by for drinks and really enjoyed both the beers and the cocktail — well made, balanced, and clearly mixed with care. A special mention goes to Robert, the bartender who served us: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being over the top. It made the whole experience feel easy and natural. The music deserves a shout-out too. Great selection, setting the mood perfectly — present but never loud, creating a calm and cozy atmosphere where you actually want to stay and talk. Aznap is a lovely spot if you’re looking for good drinks, good music, and a relaxed vibe. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Aznap is a calm and pleasant cocktail bar in Budapest. We stopped by only for drinks and didn’t try the food, but the cocktails were well made and nicely balanced. The music is good and suits the relaxed atmosphere. Big praise for Robert, the bartender, who was friendly and professional. A good place for a drink if you’re in the area.

Nice little sample of local beers on tap and a very descent selection of good alcohols (I've loved the Palinkas 😊) Haven't tried the cocktails but the guy in charge seemed to make them properly. A friendly and competent barman, it's been my go-to place while visiting Budapest. No overcharging or surprise when paying, definitely not a tourist trap.

Nice small bar with rock metal music unlike the most other bars around. The bar keeper was nice. Small but fine selection on craft beers.
