Hungarian and EU law require the provider of an online service to say who is behind it. This page (“Impresszum”) gives the details of the service provider of Local Hungary and of its hosting provider under Act CVIII of 2001 on electronic commerce and information society services (Ektv.) and Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act): the name or company name, registered office, company registration number or register number, tax number, contact details and the hosting provider. Complaints and dispute resolution
We try to settle any disagreement directly first; our e-mail address is given above. A consumer who has complained to us in writing and is not satisfied with our answer may turn to the conciliation board (békéltető testület) competent for their place of residence or stay, which settles disputes between consumers and businesses out of court and free of charge (contact details at bekeltetes.hu); complaints about consumer protection can be made to the government offices of Budapest and the counties (kormanyhivatalok.hu), and legal disputes can be taken to court. The European Commission’s online dispute resolution (ODR) platform was closed on 20 July 2025 and can no longer be used. For questions about the Digital Services Act you can turn to the national Digital Services Coordinator, the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (Nemzeti Média- és Hírközlési Hatóság, NMHH, nmhh.hu).
Liability for content
We are responsible for our own content on these pages under general law. As a provider of a hosting service within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act) we are, however, not obliged to generally monitor information submitted by users or taken from public sources, or to actively look for circumstances indicating illegal activity (Article 8 DSA). Obligations to remove or block the use of information under general law remain unaffected; liability in this respect is possible only from the moment we obtain knowledge of a specific infringement (Article 6 DSA). When we learn of such an infringement we remove the content promptly; please use the notice and takedown process.
Liability for links
The site contains links to external websites of third parties, chiefly the websites and Google Maps entries of the businesses listed, over whose content we have no influence. We therefore cannot accept any responsibility for that third-party content; the respective provider or operator of the linked pages is always responsible for their content. Because the links are taken automatically from public business information, we cannot review every linked page; where we learn of an infringement we remove the link promptly.

The content and works created by us on these pages (design, code, our own texts and the compilation of listings) are protected by the Hungarian Copyright Act (Act LXXVI of 1999, Szjt.), which also protects the database through the sui generis right of database makers. Reproduction, adaptation, distribution and any kind of exploitation outside the limits of permitted free use require our written consent; linking to any page is free. Business names, logos and photos belong to their respective owners; reviews belong to their authors and are reproduced under the terms Google offers. If you nevertheless become aware of a copyright infringement, please let us know and we will remove the content promptly.

The business listings on Local Hungary are compiled from publicly available sources, chiefly Google Business Profiles, and refreshed automatically. If a listing is wrong, a business has closed or a listing should be removed, please use the notice and takedown process; owners can also claim and edit their listing themselves.
