The best English bookshop in Hungary, I should say! What I love the most about this bookstore that they have complete collections in their sites, even rare books that quite underrated. Aside of that their offline shops are perfectly curated, especially when it comes to classic collections, Hungarian literature & history, and thriller crime genre! They only put the best and worth to read one!! Moreover, I love the arrangement book near the cashier that especially curated every month, it always showed the current trends and best read collection worth be reading which also align with the trends in Goodreads list nor Fable app. I can sense they indeed put their best to make a haven place for bibliophile and avid reader like me. The staff are also so kind and always welcoming us with smiles also very helpful! I always make my time to Bestseller everytime I make a visit to Budapest since they are indeed accommodated the needs of booklover & compassionate reader like me!

I loved visiting this mostly English language bookstore! They have a good selection of current fiction, thrillers, crime, self-help, history, and eve Hungarian literature translated into English. It's not a huge store, but it is large enough that I poked around for over an hour, just browsing the selection! They will also order any book you may desire, either on their website or in person at the counter, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. It's a great place for a tourist to "get her book on!"

This is a great English language bookstore (well, they have small selection of titles in French, German, and Russian) in the downtown area of Budapest, just behind the building of the Central European University (they, carry titled of the CEU Press as well).

This is definitely the best English language bookstore in Budapest. However, the selection (as the store name suggests) is very mainstream. If you have any "niche" interests, you won't find those books here, only the most popular titles that you see on social media. For example, I wasn't able to find an LGBTQ+ section, scifi books written by any author that's not a white man, or an extensive selection of Asian or African authors, just a few here and there. There are books in languages other than English, but I couldn't find any books in Korean or Japanese, even though those languages are more popular than ever among language learners. With that said, what they have will probably satisfy ~95% of the people who visit, hence my 4 stars. For what it is, it's a good bookstore, and it doesn't advertise itself as anything else. But Budapest still sorely misses a foreign language bookstore that goes beyond the mainstream.

We couldn't stay away from here on our trip to Budapest! They have a wonderful selection of english-language Hungarian literature and history. We had a long stay, almost a month, and it was so nice to be able to stop in for a new book to learn more about the place we're visiting. The staff is also friendly and helpful.
