I'm normally more of a fan of spirits and cocktails and find most wines too acidic, but I fell in love with Tokai wine after getting a bottle from the airport after my first trip to Budapest. The bar is very cozy and open from 11 am, which makes it very convenient for a few leisurely afternoon drinks, especially as most other wine bars in central Budapest aren't open until the evening. Their Hungarian delicacy platter was delicious with Tokai Aszu wine. Their menu categorised the white wines as aromatic, mineralic or creamy, which made ordering much easier for people unfamiliar with Hungarian wines. I ordered a dry, creamy wine from the Eger region that had just the right levels of acidity for me in-between glasses of Tokai Aszu wines, which are generally much more expensive than other Hungarian wine varieties. I would have preferred having the option of a half meat, half cheese platter instead of having to choose one, but I had a pretty much perfect afternoon here. The staff I spoke to had excellent English ability and were all very welcoming. I will definitely try to visit again next time I'm in Budapest.

Really good collection of hungarian wines and many spirits that you can smell and read label so you can how much you drink. Very interesting concept will come back again

Great range of wines. And beer also. Dangerous store as close to home and passing it way too often and too often tempted. Great option for a wine, to either drink there, or to buy in their shop. Recommended.

Very nice staff, the owner speaks English. The wines are good! They have different menus for wine tasting and some cheese plates. Fair prices. Also the music is good (light rock punk music) We enjoyed it very much!
