The staff at this store is absolutely incompetent. They don’t know where their products are located and are rude to customers. At the self-checkout area, you have to wait more than five minutes for a staff member to assist you, even when the store is practically empty. When a staff member finally comes over, they swear at customers. Just because a customer speaks to them in English does not mean that they don’t understand Hungarian. The security guards are no better — instead of doing their job, they stand around chatting with their friends, completely ignoring everyone and everything around them.

This store is extremely bad. The power supply here is extremely poor, very poor, extremely poor! The female clerk with a nose stud who was combing her hair had the worst attitude. She kept staring at the customers and only communicated with the locals. She couldn't have normal conversations with us and was very impatient. This made our impression of this tourist destination decline, and it was also discriminatory towards foreigners, especially those who couldn't speak Hungarian.

You don't deserve even one star and that's because of the "lady" you have "helping" the store's customers at the card payment counters..!! She has dark brown hair and slightly dark skin if I remember correctly !! I dont think that she is from Hungary.. Yesterday 5/1/2026 evening at 19:30 I visited your store to get some products I needed because I came to your country for a vacation. I asked this "lady" if she knew English because I needed help. She replied abruptly that she knew very little English. I got the products I wanted by myself and got to the card payment counters and at that point I needed help because the machine was only in Hungarian and I didn't understand exactly what i was supposed to do. I asked the "lady" to help me and she took the bag abruptly from my hand and said something to me in Hungarian. I continued scanning the products and the machine got stuck and again I gestured to her to help me and she was speaking to me in Hungarian again in a very rude way !!! If she doesn't like the work she does in your store or can't cope,then she has a problem and you should solve it..!! A small Spar branch in size, which has everything you need anyway. The fresh bread selection is quite wide, plenty of fruit and vegetables, as well as cheeses and fresh meat are all available. There are a couple of small freezers with ice cream, frozen vegetables and chips, and pizza. Finally, they do have some gluten-free products! 😸 4 self-checkout tills are available and always open (you can change the language to English if you need!), so even if the shop is busy, which basically is all the time due to the next door university mainly, you shouldn't be waiting a long time to pay. Usually, they are also quick to open one normal till if needed, but yes, don't expect big smiles and courtesy from the staff. :)

It enjoys the continuous customer bcz of surrounding areas which has a star hotel and famous university. Store is also clean and neat. I wish staff could know little bit of English to help foreigners in buying items . And yes, it’s SPAR, so its little bit expensive than other supermarkets 😃
