About COOP

COOP is a supermarket or grocery store in Budapest District IX. It is listed at Budapest, Mihálkovics u. 3, 1096, one of the local businesses residents and visitors turn to.

Supermarket chains such as Tesco, Spar, Lidl, Aldi, Penny, CBA and Coop usually open Monday to Saturday from 6:00 or 7:00 to 20:00–21:00, with shorter Sunday hours, and many towns have a nonstop shop open around the clock. Tobacco may only be sold in Nemzeti Dohánybolt shops, and only to adults over 18. Grocery stores are busiest on Friday afternoons and before holidays, above all Christmas and Easter, and calmest on weekday mornings. Most grocery stores are quietest on weekday mornings. The big chains publish a weekly offers leaflet, which you can also see in their apps.

Published opening hours: Mon–Fri 7:00–20:00, Sat 7:00–18:00, Sun closed. That makes 6 working days a week. Sunday is a day off; Sunday trading is allowed in Hungary, but many small shops still close that day. Hours can differ on public holidays and long weekends, so check before you go. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. Its website is coop.hu, where you may find prices, details of what it offers or booking options.

With 3.7 out of 5 on Google from 569 reviews, it sits in the middle of the range; the detailed comments usually say more than the score about service, prices and waiting times.

Prices are abusive- 500 grams of Pasta at over 800 forints, up to 1200 forints each. They have no regulation. A total abuse.

Nice, clean and big would be the 3 words to describe this supermarket nestled between some apartment buildings. It has a lot of fresh produce and a big variety of items, including special diets products, like gluten-free products, sugar-free products, products for diabetic people and so on. Like I said the place is big and clean and there wasn't any kind of crowd or rush the 4-5 times I was there. There's a parking lot right in front of the store and Alza.hu and emag.hu storage boxes where you can pickup or drop off your online ordered products. The store accepts cash and credit cards and the staff is helpful and friendly.

I went there for spicy Christmas candy (szaloncukor Erős Pistával), and I could buy it. So, it was good for the purpose.

Rather expensive compared to other supermarkets. But there are usually some discounts on some products. Still the best in Nagyvarad ter
