Nice vibes but awful scummy ways how they handle cup deposits and prices. Either a beer is more expensive than in NYC or they charge for a deposit even when you buy multiple drinks with the same cup. Such a shame because it’s a cool place

In my 5 days stay in Budapest I went to this bar 3 nights, not because there is no other choice, but because I felt at home, the beer was delicious and the people around me were so friendly and nice it was like a big group of friends not some strangers in a bar. Btw we went while the World Cup was happening so it was full I can say, idk about the other time of the year. U can’t entered if u are under 18 (they check IDs). Go there and drink a beer for me!!

Got charged for a drink then when I stood and waited and asked where my drinks was they disputed I had ever paid I showed them my payment and they just laughed it off!! Charge back incoming.

They asked to keep my original ID as a deposit (see photo), which raises serious legal and privacy concerns. When I pointed this out, the manager became aggressive and forced me to leave. I also requested access to the mandatory Complaint Book (Vásárlók Könyve), which I was refused, despite this being a legal obligation in Hungary. I have an audio recording of this interaction. The police and consumer protection services were notified. I recommend being cautious with your personal documents: go elsewhere! That being said, the atmosphere and facilities are good, if you are willing to overlook the issues mentioned above.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Füge Udvar. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere struck the perfect balance between relaxed and vibrant. The setting feels thoughtfully designed, with a warm, welcoming energy that makes it just as suitable for a laid-back evening as it is for a special occasion. The food was genuinely impressive. Every dish felt carefully put together, with fresh ingredients and bold, well-balanced flavours. You can tell there’s real attention to detail in both presentation and taste. It wasn’t just a meal, it felt like an experience that’s been crafted with care. Service was another highlight. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, friendly without feeling forced, and clearly knowledgeable about what they were serving. It made a big difference to the overall experience. What really stood out to me was how everything came together so effortlessly, the ambiance, the quality of the food, and the service all complemented each other perfectly. It’s the kind of place you leave already thinking about when you’ll come back. Highly recommended if you’re looking for somewhere with great food, a great vibe, and consistently high standards.
