I used to love visiting Harang Virág Cukrászda—it was a charming little patisserie with delicious pastries, great coffee, and friendly service. However, after their refurbishment, the experience has sadly gone downhill. While the place looks more modern now, the warmth and character of the old decor are missed. More importantly, the service has noticeably declined—staff seem less attentive, orders take longer, and the welcoming atmosphere has faded. The quality of the food and desserts has also dropped. The cakes, once fresh and flavorful, now taste mass-produced and lack the same care in preparation. It’s disappointing to see a once-beloved spot lose its charm and standards. Unless improvements are made, I’m not sure I’ll be returning anytime soon. 2/5 stars for the effort in renovation, but a step back in everything that truly mattered.

Moist poppy seed cake with Segafredo Italian coffee beans. Strong wifi and clean bathroom. Been there for at least 70 years!

Coffee quality is not good, the cakes seem to be the same one you can get from the street for very cheap price. The cream in the cup was ok, nothing special but only sweet. Disappointed.

The last time i was there I was maybe 10 years old... Now I am 36 and this place is still just magical wit the wide selection of the tastiest cakes in the 4th district in Budapest! . Must try them all if you are near!!!
