A fantastic, vibrant cultural experience—highly recommended! The Location & Building: The location of the Great Market Hall is absolutely perfect, sitting right at the foot of the emerald-green Liberty Bridge on the Pest side. The building itself is an architectural beauty, featuring a grand neo-Gothic brick entrance and a magnificent roof covered in colorful Zsolnay ceramic tiles. It is a stunning historic structure to admire from the outside. The Inside Experience: Stepping inside reveals a massive, bustling three-story market full of local energy and culture. The upper floor features rows of stalls selling traditional Hungarian handicrafts and local street food like fresh lángos. It is an incredibly solid, high-quality, and fun cultural stop. The Paprika Discovery: The true highlight of wandering the ground floor is the sensory explosion of local ingredients. We had a wonderful time learning about the incredible varieties of authentic Hungarian paprika—from sweet and mild to rich and hot. This is a local market have all food and souvenirs Popular food is paprika But smell this market not good I see a Weight scale in the makert next to door because when buy anything you can measure it to know you seller is honest when measure it It's a big market and it is famous market you will see all nationality Saturday and Sunday is totally close exept Aldi market is open I recommend it if you want to get souvenirs and chili paprika

A nice place to purchase gifts to bring back home however if you want to buy yourself a proper hot meal this is the last place you should visit. The food in the upper floor is way overpriced for how below average it tastes. I’d much rather recommend going to any other of the surrounding restaurants if you truly want to eat well.

Gorgeous piece of Jewish architecture full to the brim of various fresh foods, those Austro Hungarian style jackets, and of course all the soap, lavender, and paprika anyone could ask for to last a lifetime. Bring your wallet and your stomach!

All you need as tourist, but at some points sellers are clueless about wine they sold, no recommendations or reviews! Upper level - definitely expected more than experienced! Prices for that souvenirs and clothing too high for the market! Wine - at the airport you can get even cheaper!
