Fantastic curation and well maintained. Professional services/counter staff. Used google translate for more details as some description are in Hungarian. Takes about 2 hours to finish. Buy tickets on the spot with credit card/ cash. I will revisit this museum as compared to bigger ones anytime.

This is a hidden gem. Some nice historical photos and pieces of art. The display of movie memorabilia, and one of the sets from “the orphan”, was a lot of fun to check out. That’s what most of the photos are firm. It’s a little lot of the way, but if you have extra time in Budapest, this is well worth it also contains a nice park with a playground for kids.

Very interesting place and highly recommend , part of the spaces are closed but you can see variety of different exhibitions, the single ticket is quite expensive but you can buy a ticket that includes other museums and the guy in the reception was very helpful and kind

Very nice and interesting place. Unexpectedly nice, big and there are different exhibitions. I went for the temporary: connected to the film making of " Árva" - Orphan filmed by Nemes László Oscar nominated hungarian director! Very impressive exhibition! I recommend it, although the location a bit far from the city center, but worth it!! The tram 17 goes from Margatet Bridge Buda side till the Hospital. Then a walk up hill.

Not worth coming here for the exhibition but if you go to Margaret Island (which I highly recommend) you could make a one kilometers detour to visit. Also if you go the Aquincum museum you could make a detour on your way back to the city It's on a hill so be prepared for a bit of a climb The signs of trade exhibition is great and well thought through by the curator, the rest is a bit of a mess with paintings, furniture and other historical items thrown in without a coherent story
