Beautiful book / cafe in the heart of the old jewish quarter. Love its atmosphere. Unfortunaly there is no service, you need to go to the service desk and eventhough there is no service, when paying uprfont, lady asks for tips first... This is ruining the whole thing. Unfortunately the black espresso tasted very sour. Anyway, nice place for calm dolcefarniente or do some mails with your laptop.

This place was such a great find on our Budapest trip! The coffee was amazing, the atmosphere was lovely and before we left, we saw that musicians were setting up their gear which leads me to believe that they play live music as well! Love the fact that there are plenty of charging points :)

Lovely place to drink coffee or eat a slice of pie! The ambience is beautiful, with dimmed lighting, books, and cozy sitting corners. I also loved the cherry pie. If you are a programmer planning to work here while drinking a coffee: listen! The WiFi connection is limited to 1 hour and, most importantly, SSH requests are blocked by the WiFi network, sadly

The atmosphere is incredible! Sitting between the books is such a nice vibe. There’s inspiration everywhere. The food is good, not impressive. They serve Specialty Coffee.

Magvető Cafe is a rly chill place to go if you wanna get some work done or just enjoy a relaxing cafe date.🍵 I’m someone who can’t really study if there is music playing (which there IS at Megvatő) so I recommend bringing earplugs or noise cancelling (even normal ones are fine maybe….) headphones 🎧 The free WiFi was 10/10 no problems with that, and the staff was super helpful too!! There’s different seating orientation so whether you prefer a proper table, the window sill or the step/stair seating you can choose!!! There were many sweet as well as savory treat and drinks choice so honestly you can go there and stay for many hours( I stayed for like 5…😈) Also I bought stuff to drink but I brought my own sandwich for lunch and nobody seemed to have an issue so I’m assuming that’s okay to do…..🥪 Would say the chatter gets slightly louder around lunchtime but then again if you have earplugs it’s fine or if you like listening to those lofi sounds while working, you’ll be fine 🤑Very academia vibes📚
