Good but not perfect,I had difficulties in schedule and it is unsolved due to nothing Edit: I actually wanted to take time and just give a try to this place class. I registered and went for first time, when I wanted to join the classes, first week I was not in Hungary, second week it was so hot for me in group4pm time,I requested a time change to 8am which they told its impossible because all groups are full! Third week my leg was hurt due to some workout, I also know hungarian basically as they teach us in university, I just wanted to come and give it a try and maybe register for their September group, Yesterday i arrived at 16:13, waited 5 mins,no one came when I was ringing doorbell, I was also standing all time infronr of it so they would also can have picture of me to open the door as time of the class, I also wrote in group but noone or no staff came, I waited some minutes, it was raing and my phone screen was in hurt so I just had to eave and never come back, I actually found this behaviour rude and unbelievable, also 1 student sone minutes before me had same problem, also if their doorbell is damaged its better for them to solve it! I wish best for them *I never had issues

HORRIBLE experience as a volunteer candidate. Very unprofessional, arrogant, and phlegmatic attitude from management. I strongly do NOT recommend this organization to potential volunteers. I contacted this organization to volunteer and was invited for an in-person meeting. I showed up offering my time, skills, and years of volunteer experience — and was met with dismissiveness, arrogance, and outright disrespect. The ignorant negativity and lazy arrogance was insulting. Without making any real effort to get to know me, they dismissed my experience, skills, and ideas. Every contribution I mentioned was downgraded or ignored. Shockingly poor communication and interviewing skills. The main staff member talked almost nonstop, with no structure, focus, or dialogue. It was even hard to “interrupt” or “join” the talk. She asked nothing about me, my background, or my motivation. It was a rambling monologue, like an extremely boring lecture. When I asked basic questions, the second staff member responded dismissively. Her reaction was entirely phlegmatic: no engagement, no eye contact, no friendly or welcoming body language — just a closed-off, uninterested attitude. When it came to ac

Friendly staff and depending on your needs you would receive a great service. Their language courses is great but needs some improvement as well as increasing during week days. They also have women club as I heard. They have some program for children too. You need an appointment to go but at the same time they would accept you without one depends on how busy it is that day. If you are new here take advantage of their services. Register your name with a social worker and keep in touch.

I am an immigrant in Hungary. It saddens me to see these bad reviews given by arrogant people with baseless negative opinions that are not even about this organization. I have experience with this organization, they're wonderful and really helpful. Non-profit organizations are really valuable for people like me. Through them I was able to find Hungarian language lessons that really helped me and now I can have small conversations with nice Hungarians on a day to day basis. Thank you for all your effort Menedék!

I was born in Hungary from a Hungarian Mother and Yemeni father. My Dad lived and studied in Hungary then we moved back to Yemen for work. During those years he introduced lot of Hungarian companies to yemen in the 1980-s from Ikarus to Farming.. ..... My parents got divorced with mutual agreement.. Since the war in Yemen my dad moved to Hungary and managed to bring in his new family and my half brother and sisters. Since his political role and views several of his friends were assassinated and he was a target in Yemen. Moving to Hungary was a question of life and death.. The process and the handling of his application asylum was humiliating given his age and relation to Hungary. in the end he was only given "Oltalmazott" status with strict requirements and weekly checks even though our family agreed to provide for him and his family accommodation and food. When my 21 years old half sister's residence permit expired in 2020 she was told to leave Hungary back to yemen as "everything is safe" there... long story short.. the Hungarian immigration policy is very hostile to immigrants even with ties to Hungary and Menedék-Migránsokat Segítő Egyesület or Helsinki Bizitsag were doing thei
