The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere with nice background music. The waiter's English was limited, but we were able to communicate well enough. I ordered the mango smoothie, which was delicious, although it could have been served colder. The waiter kindly brought a glass of ice on the side. The food was very tasty. The pea-based sauce was good, the burger was excellent, and the lentil bun was especially impressive. Overall, it was a very good experience with reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend this place.

Nice ambience and atmosphere. Large varieties of cakes/pastries/ice cream and lots on menu as well. The gulash was very tasty, I also had the Brasov roast which was OK if you want to taste traditional Hungarian food, although not very tasty and it was quite bland. Would love to come back and eat something else from their big menu. The french fries was very tasty, super soft but still crispy.

Loved it so much when I visited 9 years ago I had to come back when I was back in Budapest. The spot is just as good as I remember! Huge portions of hearty food, great service, and it's a lovely place to sit outdoors in good weather. Nice alcohol-free drinks too.

This place has a really nice fine dining vibe, but without feeling too formal or expensive to enjoy typical hungarian food. We shared a big Hungarian bean goulash soup, and the staff suggested having it with scones, which turned out to be the perfect combination. The staff were really kind and their recommendations were spot on. As main dishes, we had the Seitan Stew à la Brașov, which was really tasty and came in a very good portion size. We also tried another seitan dish with sauerkraut, I can’t remember the exact name, but it was also delicious and very well cooked. We didn’t have enough space for dessert, but the desserts we saw being served looked really good as well. Overall, the food, the atmosphere, and the staff made the whole experience really enjoyable.

I had the nicest experience of dining at Napfényes recently and was amazed by their food as well as hospitality. Everything was freshly prepared and they have a dearth of options to choose from. I wanted to try out a goulash during my trip to Budapest, and as a vegan, this place was a winner. The salad bar, too, was excellent. The waiters were really friendly and the one who served me particularly was really soft spoken. This place is a 10/10 if you’d like to try out traditional Hungarian cuisine but of course, vegan! ❤️
