Restaurants in Hungary usually open from around 11:00 until about 22:00, while bars and ruin bars stay open much later from Thursday to Saturday. On weekdays many places serve a napi menü, a fixed-price lunch of soup and a main course, typically from 11:00 to 15:00. Book a table for Friday and Saturday evenings and public holidays. Many bills already include a service charge (usually 10–15%); if not, a tip of around 10% is customary but never compulsory. Many restaurants also accept the SZÉP card, the employer-funded leisure card.

According to Google, Okuyama keeps these hours: Mon closed, Tue–Sat 13:00–21:00, Sun closed. That makes 5 working days a week. Okuyama is closed on Sunday. Expect changes around holidays such as Christmas Eve, Christmas, Easter and 20 August, and call first if you are making a special trip. The listed phone number is +36 1 250 8256. It is shown in international format with the +36 country code, so it works from Hungary and from abroad alike; within Hungary you can also dial 06 instead of +36. Its website is facebook.com, where you may find prices, details of what it offers or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 650 reviews, a score that reflects consistently positive feedback.

Thank you and your collaborators Mr Okayama. The restaurant is great, simple with no sound at all. I liked how the chef put his effort on making the food. I’ll surely be back when i have the chance.

A small piece of Japan. Everything is prepared with love by Okuyama-san. The sushi tasted amazing, the shiitake was sweet, and we were able to drink some delicious beers and sakes. Reserve a table in advance, not because it's a busy place, but for Okuyama-san to prepare the right amount of ingredients.

Authentic sushi prepared by amazing Japanese chef. The fish was so fresh and the sushi rice was cooked and seasoned perfectly. It was not very busy on a Saturday evening - this place definitely deserves more attentions! Love this place, will come back!

Amazing hidden place! Very authentic! We found out about it from a friend and although it may look simple, it’s a great place! It’s owned by a Japanese guy who cooks everything himself. There are lots of options: soups, seaweed, sushi, etc. The prices are different, sushi is quite pricy, but the fish used is different, not only salmon. And the taste is great! We were given green tea for free which was also nice! You can pay by card there! We’ll definitely come back to this place to try more options!
