I saw Dr Dekany here and while she was fine, gastro/colonoscopy were conducted fine, what struck me was the indifference. The aftercare was disappointing. After the tests were done, I was handed an Rx and told look up on internet the diet for my condition. Ironic, because I came here to inderstand what was going on and get help not just bills for the tests. For my condition, as I found on internet, there are many non-medical and helpful treatments available uniquely in Hungary. Will not recommend this place.

I have been to Professional Gastroenterology Centre on a few occasions, and have always received first class treatment by highly skilled professionals. On the most recent occasion, Dr. Laszlo uncovered a condition which even my surgeon in hospital had not dealt with, but which is important and would impact my treatment and halt any deterioration of my condition. And with its polite and caring staff, it is a serious and dedicated centre of excellence.

UPDATE: i have reached out to Professional Medical and they have been very quick and helpful addressing the issue. I’m going to leave my initial review up because it is important to me that the Clinic creates a backup plan for when their recording device malfunctions so a procedure that is hard on an already very sick body doesn’t have to be repeated and cause delays in getting further treatment. My family and I have been patients of Professional Medical for many years, so I am deeply disappointed to be writing this review. On August 18, 2025, I underwent a gastroscopy and colonoscopy at your clinic, following a prior gastroscopy in March and due to my worsening health. Weeks before the procedure, your staff confirmed that I would receive the full video recording immediately afterward, and I emphasized that this was essential for consulting multiple specialists in Hungary and abroad. Based on this assurance, I booked the appointment. On the day of the procedure, I again confirmed directly with the gastroenterologist that the recording would be made and provided to me. After the procedure, while still under the effects of general anesthesia and extremely weak from the prep, I was i

I went for a gastroscopy and colonoscopy examination and wouldn't recommend the doctor Edit Harasta to anyone! Despite my multiple gastro-related symptoms, her "medical and professional opinion was that "I need to go to therapy" (I've met a couple of gastroenterologists the past couple of months, they all examined me physically and mentioned in their reports that my abdomen wasn't regular, that there was inflammation, I had pain reaction when touched among other issues, which is why they continued to order further investigations.) I tried to explain what the issues were but she seemed to be more interested in the medicines I'm currently taking (more specifically, the ones prescribed by my psychiatrist) than my symptoms. She has no idea why I'm taking those medicines and she let herself go and decides that whatever I'm feeling is then a mental problem? this is not ethical and nor respectful ! I've lived with GERD around 10 years, I KNOW how this feels, and when I told her this was one of the problems she replied "no, you don't feel that". She thinks she has the superpower of knowing what the patient actually feels or not!?

This place gave me an impression that they're more interested in your money than offering you a real solution to your problem. On the first visit the time was spent on waiting for the doctor to type on the computer, and she didn't even read the summary I wrote on registration about my symptoms, then they tried to force me into the most expensive way of exam. After the examination the doctor gave me a prescription of medicines that was not available in the country, and when I called them back they refused to offer any help, and didn't follow up on request to modify the prescription with available replacements. I would avoid going to this place if there's a better alternative because I was not getting the solution, attention and service for the money.
