The BEST Thai food in budapest. I am from Thailand. After being disappointed in thai restaurants in Lyon, Amsterdam, and Budapest, I did not have high expectations. This was the FIRST thai restaurant that matched my standards, and even more. Their thai food is soooooooooooooooooooo goooood, also the Thai tea tastes so authentic, just like it does back home :) ive tried a few thai restaurants in budapest, if you want to go to one, definitely go to Rim Thanonh. The lady and staff were so so kind and sweet as well. We didnt wait long at all for food, and i absolutely was so happy to eat there.

Ordered 3 dishes for sharing and everything tasted authentic. We chose the spicy option for som tam and the spice level was comparable to the ones in Southeast Asia, so do be careful if you ask for the spicy option because it may be quite intense. Recommended to visit this place if you’re craving Thai food or sour and spicy flavours, coming from a tourist.

A very simple restaurant with only few table ,however from the moment you step in you already know that the food is gonna be authentic. Authentic Thai taste for all of the dishes, freshly prepared and very kind waiter. Feels like a small run family business with great food.

⸻ I had Pad Thai noodles with shrimp here, and they were delicious. The place is run by a Thai couple who prepare authentic Thai dishes that really capture the flavors of Thailand. The portion was generous, the taste was well-balanced, and the service was friendly and relaxed. I’d definitely recommend this spot if you’re craving some genuine Thai cuisine.

The Thai food is good for Budapest. The prices are very reasonable, portions generous, and prices relatively reasonable. It’s not a fancy restaurant, attracting students on a budget and takeout. So far everything was good, (except the spring rolls which I won’t recommend ). However I would recommend this place knowing the focus is on the food at an affordable price.
