Star Hotel by Mellow Mood Hotels

The room was spacious and very clean, the whole hotel was very clean, I was seeing the cleaning ladies cleaning every single day. Our room was cleaned daily and towels were also changed daily. The bathroom's shower cabin was too small and it was really hard to get into it and also you can hit yourself when trying to shave. Good thing is that the room has AC which was very helpful during the July heat. Location of the hotel is nearby the city centre if you jump on a public transport. Best thing is that when going back form the city centre - the trolley stops right in front of the hotel, you just have to cross the street. The hotel itself needs a small renovation - colour the walls, change some door locks, change some furniture, but in overall it is a great value for your money. On the other side during breakfast coffee was disgusting. Baked pastries were also below average. Fruits were not fresh early in the morning, but there is a good variety of food that you can have.

3.5 stars for a trip at the end of April. Pros: - cheap and relatively clean - nice helpful staff - decent breakfast: cereals, pastries, hams and cheeses, scrambled eggs, small sausages. Coffee machine! Great if you just need a bite in the morning to get you started. - right outside a bus stop which runs from the city centre but also can be used to access the park/heroes square/ the famous baths. I would also often walk down to the metro stop which was like 15 mins for me. Generally I liked the location due to accessibility to public transport - location is quiet, noise comes more from other guests than anything on the street - I felt safe as a solo female traveller Cons: - very dated hotel imo. My curtains did not fully close so had to prop them with a chair for privacy - weird smell from my room? Didn't report as it wasn't awful, but was just a result of it being a dated place - AC was not active when I was staying due to the off-peak season. Was very warm in my room. No fan was offered by staff - shower clogged after 15 mins. Again didn't report as I couldn't be bothered changing rooms and I managed - no water tank or water offered in rooms, staff are happy to fill bottles tho
