Széna tér (is one of Buda’s oldest and most important transport and historical junctions. It developed originally outside the old city walls as an open market area, where hay and other goods were traded. During the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, Széna tér became one of the major resistance points in Buda.It is a busy traffic area, so noise and crowds are common. It’s not a peaceful park but a dynamic city square.

The garden/park in the square is very tastefully landscaped, lots of different trees and flowers, stones, benches and bins (also for dogs ***, providing plastic bags). Cute lighting too, and bike racks. And there's a stone wall fountain feature with different lights. A nice square to rest, just in front of the shopping centre.

It was the centre point of the rebels of Buda in 1956. They made thrir fort here built by old trains.

Bus station. Nice woman was in the ticket office. Offered return ticket, if she did not tell that I would have forgot it. And she asked I can use my monthly BP ticket, so I paid less for the out of town ticket. It was a good feeling, thanks again afterwards.

It took them a while, but the new square looks great and is well traversable.
