Gyönyörű platánsor szegélyezi, és egy szép park terül el ez előtt a téglaburkolatú neogótikus templom előtt. 1905-re készült el a Weninger Ferenc által tervezett templom. Ha nincs mise, akkor nem lehet bemenni, csak az előtérből bekukkantani az impozáns belső térre.

Mátyásföld különleges értéke. Az 1887-ben létrejött a Mátyásföldi Nyaralótulajdonosok Egyesülete Paulheim József elnöksége alatt 1903-ban Templomépítő Bizottság alakult. Emlékét a templom előcsarnokában 1921. augusztus 28-án elhelyezett tábla őrzi. A templom előtt áll Paulheim József szobra, a parkot nagyon szép platánsor övezi.

A misék okék, a gyerekeknek fent tartott rész nagyon jó, de a pap egy s*ggfej. Igazi hímsoviniszta, pici gyeremeket a misén nem tűrő gyökér. Feleségem totál le kezelte már az első alkalomnál és ha a 8 hós picink mert egy kicsit nyögdécselni, rögtön szúrós tekintettel nézett felénk. A templom szép, a gyerek misék az elkülönített helyen nagyon jók, de a pap miatt biztos, hogy nem megyünk vissza oda.

Mátásföld legszebb része az ómátyásföldi villanegyed, rengeteg hatalmas platánfával. A platános között megbujva egy impozáns templommal télen nyáron hangulatos séta helyszin a kikapcsolódni vágyóknak.

Mátyásföld villanegyede mindig tartogat meglepetéseket. Szerencsére ismét felújítás után lassan átadásra kerül egy kis kastély. A szépen ápolt kertek a tiszta utcák felüdülést jelentenek a városi ember számára. Sétálnak egyszer arra felé!
