Today I discovered Italian Wine Bar Terra, and it honestly became one of my favourite summer places in Budapest. I tried Fantasia, a Calabrian sparkling wine, and it was such a beautiful surprise. Made using the Ancestral Method, one of the oldest sparkling wine techniques, it finishes its fermentation naturally in the bottle. It’s also a zero dosage wine, meaning no extra sugar is added, allowing the true character of the wine to come through. It has notes of green apple, citrus, delicate white flowers, and a lovely mineral finish. The bubbles are soft and elegant, making it the perfect drink for a warm summer evening. What I especially love about Terra is that they bring something really unique to Budapest: niche Italian wines that you can only find here. It’s a real pleasure to come, discover something new, and explore small Italian producers and hidden gems that you wouldn’t easily find elsewhere.

Great vibes in the for the wine but also for breakfast! Really nice coffee and croissants, also italian focaccia. Focaccia from Bari was exactly as the focaccia I had in Puglia, Italy! Super nice and friendly staffs, special thanks to Peppino 👍 hope to return agaun

Honestly, Terra Budapest is the closest you can get to Italy without buying a plane ticket. Found this place by accident and fell in love with the cozy atmosphere. They have these amazing displays with fresh mortadella and prosciutto that make your mouth water instantly. The wine shelves are stacked with bottles from small, authentic Italian producers, both reds and whites, and you can totally taste the difference. Huge shoutout to the owner, Victorio! The guy is a legend. He actually hangs out with guests, talks about wine with so much passion, and gave me a couple of free samples to try before ordering. Staff is super nice, everything is spotless, and the vibe is just pure comfort. Will definitely be back!

An exceptional place that truly stands out for both its hospitality and its remarkable wine selection. When we arrived, the owner, Vittorio, welcomed us personally and took the time to guide us through the experience himself. From the very beginning we felt the warmth, generosity and genuine spirit of the Mediterranean hospitality. The Italian wine selection is outstanding and clearly curated with great knowledge and passion. Vittorio shared fascinating insights while we tasted several beautifully chosen wines, making the whole experience both educational and incredibly enjoyable. It’s rare to find a place where the conversation about wine is as good as the wine itself. We left already looking forward to coming back the next day. If you appreciate authentic hospitality and serious Italian wines, this place is an absolute gem and a must-visit.
