We went for a meal and folk dancing evening arranged by our Viking river cruise. It exceeded our expectations. We especially enjoyed the music and the cimbalom instrument that was new to us. The dancing was well-executed and energetic. The food was plentiful and gave us a good idea of Hungarian cuisine. All together it was a brilliant, memorable evening.

We visited on our last night in Europe as part of our Viking cruise down the Danube. We left the hustle and bustle of Budapest into the woods and were greeted with a shot of of a traditional Hungarian drink. The food was fabulous, especially the goulash soup served in pails, and a delicious sausage! I wish I knew what the sausage was so I could try to find it in the states. We sat at long tables and were entertained by talented and charismatic musicians and dancers. This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Europe. What is that sausage called?

An unforgettable experience from start to finish! The food was absolutely delicious, every dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. One of the highlights was the foie gras — the duck liver specialty — which was exceptionally rich, delicate, and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was warm, lively, and truly authentic, while the service was attentive and welcoming throughout the evening. What made the night even more special was the fantastic live show with the folk orchestra and dancers. The traditional dance where the performers created rhythm and music with their shoes was incredible to watch — so energetic, unique, and impressive! It added such a magical cultural touch to the whole experience. A place I would happily visit again and highly recommend to anyone looking for amazing food, entertainment, and a memorable atmosphere.

A very traditional Hungarian restaurant. Nicely located at the edge of a park it is further away from the noise of the city. It is a good representation of 1970s-80s Hungarian cuisine, with large portions of very tasty but less healthy meals. The place itself is huge and caters for large tourist groups, which are being bussed here in droves. They are also offered folk music and dances by entertainers dressed in traditional clothes. If you are after a tasty tourist attraction, then this is your place, but if you are looking for a quiet fine dining experience then go elsewhere.

They have good music, delicious gulash and duck meat with some vegetables. Music and the show is so entertaining. The staff has a smiling face. It is a spacious and big place inside. The wine is good. It is far from the city center but has a worth to see night. The desert was not that good.
