I had my bachelors party here and it’s a super nice place. Food is great and the service is very very nice. It was a long time since I experienced such a friendly pace and service. Props for the staff and the a chef for the nice surprise in the end. Highly recommended.

I visited what’s running soup-sushi-hotpot on my trip in Budapest. The concept is a bit confusing, if it’s a first time ~ which it was for us 🤷🏼♀️ therefore I will try my best explaining the way of ordering. We came here with the thought of eating “all you can eat sushi” and didn’t really have plans of eating hot-pot because of the hot weather. Although when we arrived, we learned that it isn’t an “all you can eat sushi” concept UNLESS you also pick the hot-pot 🍣🍱 Therefor if you picked their version of an all you can eat, you both can choose all the meat and vegetables you want in your hot-pot, AND all the sushi and desserts on the running counter. But if you only choose the sushi, you have to pay by plate. Aside of the confusion, whilst we started eating and learning about the way of ordering, it was a very nice experience 🧡 I love the thought of this concept, and the restaurant also included good aircondition, which made it easier to eat hot-pot. Overall the quality, the taste and the whole experience is worth a try ✨🌟I would definitely come here again.

My experience was mixed. The hotpot itself was okay. We chose the Thai Laksa and Spicy Beef Soup bases, but both broths were quite bland and lacked the punch and depth I expected. The good part is that they offer a decent selection of beef, seafood, vegetables, and other hotpot ingredients, so there are plenty of options to cook. My biggest issue was with the running sushi. The selection was very basic, with not much variety and very few interesting items coming around the conveyor belt. Even the dessert options were limited. The salmon was especially disappointing. It didn't taste very fresh and had a metallic aftertaste. I ended up putting most of it into the hotpot just to make it more enjoyable. If you're coming specifically for the raw salmon, you may want to lower your expectations. The restaurant itself looks great. The concept is modern, clean, and visually appealing. However, if you're serving hotpot during summer, please turn down the temperature inside make it more cooler or colder. I was sweating throughout the meal, and it made the experience less comfortable than it should have been. Now for the best part of the visit, the service. Our server, Alexa, was excellen

I had a very good experience at What’s Running Sushi near St. Stephen’s Basilica. The menu is extremely rich—it was honestly hard to choose. There’s an all-you-can-eat option where you get a broth base and can pick different ingredients to cook in it, plus a wide selection of sushi, maki, and even desserts. There’s also an à la carte menu with sushi, poké bowls, Japanese soups, udon, and even tom yum. The interior design is excellent, with a strong Japanese-inspired atmosphere, and the staff were very kind and helpful throughout. Drinks are on the expensive side, which is typical for all-you-can-eat places. There are definitely more authentic sushi places in Budapest, but this place is still absolutely worth visiting, especially for the atmosphere and overall experience.
