We accidentally found this place but we will certainly retun! The cheese selection and the wines were amazing and the price was not touristy at all. In addition we managed to buy some great quality fair trade Hungarian products in the shop which are not sold in souvenir shops or supermarkets. Absolutely recommended!

Nested at the base of Buda Castle, right beside the river, lies a quaint little shop. With only 2 tables inside, and 2 tables outside, this newly opened Tokaji wine bar features an equally cheesy name—Tokaji My Love Deli. With all cheesy-named shops, lies the most genuine shop-owners. Specializing in all-things Tokaji, it serves affordable wines by the glasses, from dry, table wines, to the good stuff. We tried a total of 3 wines. Prices noted are per glass. 2020 Arvay Birtok Furmint (3SGD) - Tasted like any white table wine. Similar to the Greek assyrtiko style of white table wines. Disznókó Tokaji Aszú 5 Puttonyos 2012 (2500 HUF / 10SGD) - 5 puttonys. Wine was straw yellow. Very dominant notes of raisins and apricots, with a subtle whiff of caramel at the finish. Acid was not prominent, leaving for a 1-dimensional, but still impressive wine. If anything, this is reminiscent of a sauternes. Royal Tokaji Aszù 2016 6 puttonys 2016 - Extremely complex wine. No prominent nose, but a marvel on the palate. Texture and a good body. Rich, stone fruit (apricot) sweetness and high lemon acid that rushes, adding depth to the wine. Simply fantastic if you are looking for a great (but small) collection of some of the best Tokaj sweet wines. Fair prices and also tasting options

Lovely little gem of a place in an excellent central location between some of the main sights of Budapest. Because it was a sunny and warm day, we sat at one of the few tables outside the shop. The owner and staff are very welcoming, served us a taster plate of delicious special cheeses (Mádi cheese) and cured meat/sausage (from the famous Hungarian Mangalica pork), several flavoured with special herbs. The owner Adrienn, fluent in English, recommended excellent Tokaj wines to taste from the considerable variety they offer. They also sell astonishing and tasty vinegar products - including a soft drink! Adrienn is a true enthusiast for all things Tokaj and very knowledgeable about the wines, their character and production. You can buy her beautifully illustrated book "Essential Guide: The Tokaj Wine Region. Historical heritage, breathtaking terroir, culinary adventures" in the shop. They also have an online shop. But of course, if you can, a personal visit is even better :-)

Crossed the river and came here specially on our last day in Budapest to buy some food gifts after trying some of their meats and wines at a wine bar. Was really disappointed to see they were closed even though Google indicated they were open and their sign showed open that day. I later saw they posted on FB in the morning that they would be closed that day, but as tourists we assumed Google would be accurate and we wouldn’t need to check multiple platforms. It would be worth it to update Google if you plan to arbitrarily close so people don’t waste their time.
