About Aeropark Budapest

Budapest District XVIII is one of Budapest's 23 districts. Life in the capital moves at a big-city pace: businesses often keep longer hours than in smaller towns, many shops, bars and restaurants stay open late, and nonstop shops serve customers around the clock. The Danube banks, Buda Castle and Andrássy út are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Széchenyi, Gellért and Rudas baths and the ruin bars of District VII draw visitors all year. Public transport is run by BKK, with four metro lines, trams, buses and the HÉV suburban railway; on Friday afternoons and before long weekends the roads out of the city jam up, so leave extra time. In Budapest, BKK passes and tickets can be bought in the BudapestGO app, and parking in the centre is charged by zone, typically on weekdays from 8:00 to 20:00.

We went to visit the Aeropark. We had been here a few years ago, and the kids really loved it! They could spend a little money on the park itself, the aircraft, and some additional programs! Because, let's just say, the tickets are quite expensive! BUT we had the chance to talk with two pilots, which was a better experience than the entire park put together. The two gentlemen were so kind, well-prepared, and possessed endless knowledge that it was a pleasure to talk to and listen to them! We definitely wanted to highlight this; it was a fantastic experience, thank you!

What an amazing aviation museum, as an avgeek myself I learned so much seeing all those Tupolev, Antonov, Ilushin, true pieces of history ! I met some staff which some were actually pilots of those machines, I can’t imagine the skills it required to fly those 🤯😍 Must visit for any aviation-centred (or not) person, prices are very attractive !

A nice place to visit if you have some extra time at Budapest Airport. Cockpits of several airplanes are well preserved and are accessible.

Amazing experience. Bought tickets online for a 3h trip around the airport with access to restricted areas. This included free parking and access to the airport museum. The only caveat is that the tour is in Hungarian only. We knew that, but still went for the experience. The tour guide was nice and came to us to explain certain aspects. We saw planes take off up close and others land right over our heads. Loved it.

SERIOUSLY cool air museum! A must visit, pop in before you’re dropped off at the airport. Thanks to my incredible flight sim instructor, a first for me in a sim. The museum is a time machine, and the ATC minibus is a great insight.
