AKH - Gumiszerviz

Beware – this place is a scam. I had an appointment for a winter tire change. I have two sets of tires that only needed to be balanced and swapped. To my surprise, once my car was already inside the workshop, they told me they would not change the tires because they were “too old” — seven years — and allegedly no longer compliant with standards. The tire tread was in very good condition with only minimal signs of wear. I was puzzled why, instead of simply providing the service and earning their fee, this business chooses to interpret — or even invent — its own rules. As I later confirmed, there is no such legal requirement. I left immediately, and only afterwards realized that this was clearly an attempt to pressure customers into buying new tires from them. I strongly encourage anyone reading this review to avoid this place and the entire AKH chain, and to share this feedback widely. Fortunately, Hungary has a competitive market, and we can choose service providers who care about their clients and operate with integrity.

They do both engine and tyre service, for tyres they have 3 spaces to change, one of them is for the engine service, too. They also provide tyre stocking for the off season. The staff is kind and very professional, the prices are okay and I rarely experienced them to be late with appointments. It's needed to book an appointment on their website!

Fast and reliable. Been bringing the beauties here for years. But you have to book in advance in the main seasons, that is of course the end of autumn and beginning of spring. 😎

Shifty place where they just want to trick you. A few weeks ago I asked them to balance wheels, as there was a trembling a bit while driving. They took money from me (around 40 euros!), said they did it even though I thought it was suspiciously too fast. They also told me I have to change suspension, which not original cost like 200 euros (glad I didn't do it!). Anyway the problem did not disappear, so I thought it was the suspension... Yesterday I went to a dealer service and they told me that not only wheels were not balanced, but they were put in wrong place. And guess what - suspension was ok. And now I actually feel the difference in driving the car, the problem went away. I wouldn't trust this place, they don't know what they are doing but charging money for that!

good service, they do a general check up of your car when you change the tyres and give an offer to fix it
