I definitely recommend dedicating a couple of hours to this museum. Easy to get there by public transport… The bus stops at the museum. Indoors air-conditioned. Drinks machine available.

Main museum area is very interesting - I would start there to get more context on the actual ruins. Everything had English translations and there were quite a few interactive things. The original museum in the midst of the ruins has a really interesting exhibition on facial reconstruction from human remains.

A very interesting archaeological park. It’s also a nice place to take a walk, with plenty of trees and benches. They also have several exhibitions featuring artifacts from Roman times, but there are also a few display cases with prehistoric items

A 5 star review for an incredible Roman Hungarian historical site. I learned a bunch about ancient pre Hungary as well. Inside museum is splendid, loads and loads to look at and admire. And the exterior is huge, like walking through a small tow. It's really nice and it's affordable. Get the pass that allows the other sites, a great deal ! Cash or card at the door !

It was wonderful experience!!! Reminded Ostia Antica. Ancient history open air makes great impression and leaves unforgettable menories. Frosty sunny day with a lot of snow ❄️❄️❄️ added even more beauty to the scenary. Unside exhibitions were also interesting. We especially liked descriptions of hustorical past of Hungary at the time of Roman Empire written in English. Our special thanks to security employee named Laszlo (if I am not mistaken) who was naturally friendly, kind and very professional. We wishing him all the best!
