When hiring someone for work at home, start with a clear brief: what the job is, where and by when. Ask for a written quote, agree dates, the deposit and who buys the materials, and sign a contract for bigger jobs. Check whether the price is gross (with 27% VAT) or net, and ask for an invoice, which you need for any complaint. In a block of flats, work on shared parts is agreed with the building's common representative (közös képviselő).

Published opening hours: Mon–Fri 7:00–16:00, Sat–Sun closed. That makes 5 working days a week. Sunday is a day off. Hours can differ on public holidays and long weekends, so check before you go.
