Yes, you could easily walk past the entrance but you shouldn’t!! George/ Bikebases’s owner was great! We happened to show up just after he stepped away from the shop, but we messaged him and he quickly responded. We rented two 29” mountain bikes to ride to Szentendre for the day. He even provided us with Helmets, bike tools, pump, extra tube and locks. As well as he gave us the low down on the tricky parts of the trail to Szentendre. Really friendly service and we had a great time riding around Budapest with the bikes! I highly recommend this shop and exploring the city this way. It's much more connecting and a better price than the public bike sharing apps. Köszönöm!

The shop owner is the most kind, uncomplicated and generous bike mechanic, I ever encountered. Before we departed for our trip to Vienna with the rental bikes, he made sure that we got the proper gear, made sure everything would fit our size and gave us advice for the best route along the Danube river. When our trip got cut short, due to repeated mechanical problems, he offered us a generous refund and extensive assistance. Because of this forthcoming and compromise seeking attitude, a bad experience, turned out not to be so bad. 10/10 would recommend to others.

The best bike rental experience in Budapest!**> We had a wonderful time renting trail bikes from Bikebase. The bikes themselves were high-quality, reliable, and perfectly maintained. > The owner is a true gentleman—highly professional, efficient, friendly, and genuinely helpful. During our ride, we unfortunately got a flat tire that we couldn't manage to fix on our own. Great shop for a rental. I wanted to take a ride up to Szentendre for lunch, the owner was familiar with the route and presented me with the best option. Bike was in good working order. No extra charges, no BS. A very pleasant experience, give them a try.
