This cafe was like our second home for many months! The coffee/roasts were our favorite in all of Budapest (I recommend trying both light and dark roast). GREAT pistachio roll- definitely a must try. The most special part about Tompa17 was the atmosphere. People come to read and study and chat over coffee, it’s a very motivating and fun environment. The best part about Tompa17 was the STAFF! They were always so friendly, happy to chat, observant (they sometimes had our coffee ready before we even ordered, they knew our “the usual”) Special shoutout to Mandy and Csenge!! This place wouldn’t be the same without them.

Lovely place to grab a coffee, read and chill. Has very relaxed seating outside as well as comfortable chairs inside, and just lots of books. Service was fast and very nice, the coffee and cakes very yummy as was the kombucha. I loved the vibe overall! Will definitely come back :)

Great place that was close to our hotel. On our way back we decided to get the pastrami sandwich and it was great. The young girl behind the counter was working hard and friendly. The atmosphere was great and since I love books, it added to a great vibe.

This was the best coffee shop I've ever been in (so far). Not only is the atmosphere cozy (love all the books here, even if I don't know the language), the staff friendly and caring, but the coffee is excellent. I absolutely loved their avocado toast (lovely avocado) and their cocoa roll was SO GOOD it was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Definitely coming back when I can and definitely recommend.
