Literally translated to English, the establishment’s name is “The Wine Catacomb Restaurant”, which is perfect as much of it is in a hall carved out from the natural limestone. We had a very enjoyable evening there, surrounded by enthusiastic and talented folkloric musicians and dancers coupled with delicious traditional food. There is a fair amount of crowd participation which we thoroughly enjoyed participating in. This included dancing on stage as well as food preparation!! As a bonus, you can buy a bottle of their marvellous wine which they put a label on with your own personalized photo label! If you have some extra time while you are in Budapest, make sure you go for a fun night out - even better if you are in a group.
