Revisited Brucker after learning they started making Pain Suisse. Here's the bottom line, the Pain Suisse is certainly not bad. It has well-baked layers and pleasant look. There are people who will like this. For me, the taste leans too much toward egg custard than the chocolate drops. Pain au Chocolat was also nice, thanks mainly to the filling. The layers are rightly crunchy and flaky, but as a whole it lacks butter, really. As for Kakaós Csiga, it looks and tastes better than last time, though not much.

If you’re looking for the heart and soul of District XXII's artisan scene, look no further than Brucker Bakery (Brucker Pékség). Whether you visit their main shop at Jókai Mór utca 38 or their popular stand at the Budafok Neighbors' Market, you’re in for a treat that perfectly balances tradition with modern flair. Great Quality & Selection: The bakery is renowned for its artisan sourdough breads and inventive pastries. You can find everything from classic walnut sourdough loaves and "tang zhong" milk bread (kalács) that stays fresh for days, to modern delights like pistachio-filled buns, caramel "non-babka", and pain au suisse with raspberry. Their selection also includes savory options like focaccia sandwiches and sourdough pita stuffed with premium ingredients like Cotto ham and pistachio cream. Good Prices: Despite the high-quality ingredients and manual labor involved, Brucker remains remarkably affordable. It provides excellent value for money, ensuring that top-tier artisan baking is accessible for everyday breakfast runs or family gatherings. Friendly Staff: The atmosphere is defined by "love and care," a value the family-run business has maintained for decades. Customers fr
