Budapest District X is one of Budapest's 23 districts. Life in the capital moves at a big-city pace: businesses often keep longer hours than in smaller towns, many shops, bars and restaurants stay open late, and nonstop shops serve customers around the clock. The Danube banks, Buda Castle and Andrássy út are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Széchenyi, Gellért and Rudas baths and the ruin bars of District VII draw visitors all year. Public transport is run by BKK, with four metro lines, trams, buses and the HÉV suburban railway; on Friday afternoons and before long weekends the roads out of the city jam up, so leave extra time. In Budapest, BKK passes and tickets can be bought in the BudapestGO app, and parking in the centre is charged by zone, typically on weekdays from 8:00 to 20:00.

BIC is the exact place you want to be if you feel you are not ready for university and need a bridge. It’s a perfect preparatory program, and not only will you have the opportunity improve on your knowledge prior to going go university. You will meet people from all over the world, be introduced to so many different cultures and I feel like that makes the whole experience even better.

BIC has a really nice and welcoming vibe. Studying here is comfortable because the teachers actually care and the international community is very friendly.I really appreciate how the college focuses not just on theory, but also on developing practical and soft skills that will be useful in the future😸🫶🏻

Choosing BIC for my foundation year was the best decision I could have made to transition into studying in Europe. Moving to a new country like Hungary was intimidating, but the staff and professors made the whole process—from sorting out my student visa to getting used to college-level math and English—incredibly smooth. The classes are small, so you actually get personal attention, and the student community is so diverse that you make friends from all over the world on day one. It’s a genuinely supportive, welcoming environment that gives you the perfect launchpad for university
