Budapest District X is one of Budapest's 23 districts. Life in the capital moves at a big-city pace: businesses often keep longer hours than in smaller towns, many shops, bars and restaurants stay open late, and nonstop shops serve customers around the clock. The Danube banks, Buda Castle and Andrássy út are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Széchenyi, Gellért and Rudas baths and the ruin bars of District VII draw visitors all year. Public transport is run by BKK, with four metro lines, trams, buses and the HÉV suburban railway; on Friday afternoons and before long weekends the roads out of the city jam up, so leave extra time. In Budapest, BKK passes and tickets can be bought in the BudapestGO app, and parking in the centre is charged by zone, typically on weekdays from 8:00 to 20:00.

I think this place is great if you bring ear plugs (planes and trains). I camped here for 6 nights and the facilities are great. The staff could not be friendlier, they seem to really love working there. The go and pitch where you like is a good attitude, they have the space, also great communication prior and during the stay. Also the first ever campsite I've stayed where you pay when U leave. 30 mins to Budapest with public transport and there's a nearby shopping mall. A nice drinks fridge in reception too. There are decent showers (the new ones at the back of the campsite are better), but the others are good too. The general atmosphere makes it quite good for social interaction too. I would recommend it.

Camping Arena is a very large parking area. We arrived on the Sunday of the F1 GP so we knew it was going to be busy but we managed to find a nice quiet gravel pitch with electric hookup. There are many central grass pitches too, some are shaded and some are in the sun. There are 2 toilet / wash blocks, the one nearest to reception is small and the one furthest away is new and very modern. It’s all very clean. There is also ample crock washing and washing machines. You pay one fee and everything is included. Pay cash at exit and use HUF but Euro is also accepted but dependent on the bank rate at the time hence pay in HUF. The booking team made everything simple and they explained everything at check in. Buy a daily transport ticket using the BudapestGO app which is about £7 per day. The bus stop is a 10 minute walk from the site entrance then it’s a further 10 minutes ride to the metro station where you catch the train to the central areas. £7 covers all buses, trams and trains so it’s a bargain. The site is an excellent location for the racing circuit and the city. The Budapest roads are worse than the UK so drive in and out with care. I purchased a vignette to be safe as I was t

We stayed here for 4 nights during the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend. The staff were very friendly and our tent location was nice. Although the camping area was packed with tents and, more importantly, people, the facilities were very well maintained and always clean. There are several public transport options nearby making it very easy to get into Budapest or to the race track. For two people the price was more than fair and we enjoyed our stay very much. Definitely worth it if you enjoy camping.

Great campsite, between Budapest and the Hungaroring for the Grand Prix! A little food truck on site while we were there and great amenities 🏕️ Köszönöm! The toilets and showers were really nice and always clean. There were free washing machines on site (3) and also a cooking area with induction hobs etc which was really nice if you didn’t have a campervan! Would highly recommend this place for anyone in the area :)
