We went on a family holiday to Hungary and came across Cavallino for lunch.. enjoyed the food, the ambiance and the waiters so much that we went back 6 times for diner. Think that says it all!

What a shame the service is not anything like welcoming or professional. I had the nonna (chicken) soup for lunch, on the menu written with homemade porcini ravioli, when I asked the waiter if it’s really homemade, he confirmed without any shadow of a doubt. Unfortunately the ravioli I get in my soup was just one of the pre-made product that anyone can buy in any supermarket.aAfter I finished the soup I told the waiter the ravioli is quite a disappointment, he only arrogantly answered while he was rushing out: it’s homemade. My main course I ordered a fillet steak with spicy steak potato and what I get instead it was mash potato with fillet steak. I was waiting and watching my guest eating his main course while my steak potato was prepared. In my humble opinion the two main course should be brought back to the kitchen and re- served when the dishes were ready to go the way it has been ordered. The skills of the waiter clearly is lacking of professionalism, and he wasn’t under any supervision during a demanding service what he was unable to manage by himself.

If Cavallino was a person, I’d marry it. No hesitation. This place doesn’t just serve food—it whispers sweet nothings to your taste buds while serenading your stomach with an Italian love song. Walking in, I felt like I had accidentally stepped through a portal to a Tuscan grandmother’s dining room, except this one comes with a wood-fired pizza oven and a staff that somehow makes you feel like you’ve been best friends for years. The pizza? Oh, let me tell you—if crust could legally adopt me, I’d be filing the paperwork tomorrow. Crispy, airy, and charred in all the right places, like it spent its summer vacation sunbathing in a Neapolitan piazza. And the pasta? I swear, I heard distant opera music with every bite. Service? Impeccable. They refill your wine like they’re invested in your happiness (which they clearly are). By the time I left, I was contemplating how to add "professional Cavallino taste tester" to my resume.
