As an Italian living in Budapest, Michele’s Roman-style pizza has been one of the top highlights of settling into the city. Beyond the pizza itself—which is outstanding, authentically Italian, and every bit as good as what you would find at the famous Roscioli in Rome—the atmosphere is something truly special. The warmth of the place reminds me of the typical Italian families: welcoming, lively, and genuine. Even if you’ve just met them, they make you feel like part of their extended family. At the same time, it somehow makes you miss your own family even more, because it reminds you of home. For Italians living abroad—and not only—it is a little piece of home in Budapest. An experience not to be missed!

I’m a Hungarian with an Italian wife, and this is our favourite pizza spot in Budapest. The pizza is the most authentic you can find, and the Owner is amazingly hospitable without being intrusive. The pizza was delicious, and not heavy at all thanks to the slow fermentation method they use. If you’re looking for an authentic Italian pizza place, you’ve found it with d’al Michele.

From the first bite to the last, the pizzas of Michele were amazing. Prepared from ingredients coming directly from Italy, it allows you to have the authentic taste of an Italian pizza. Moreover, the owner who also prepares the pizzas and other pastries is a gentle and awesome guy and I would recommend all pizza lovers to make a visit😃
