DID YOU KNOW? The lángos is a famous food of Hungarian’s kitchen, It is pie made from a soft kneaded dough. It has been part of the Hungarian tradition for nearly 500 years. The langalló (previous name of the Lángos), was made from the dough left in the bread oven. The bread dough was stretched to a round shape, then It was “burned” on hot embers traditionally. Back then, a family baked a loaf of bread every 5-7 days. So they baked the lángos that time. On the day of the new bread the “langalló” was the breakfast traditionally.

Went here last weekend on our trip and it was great! The portion size was huge and it tasted so good. The lady running the shop is so nice and makes everything fresh. It was also the best priced place we went the whole weekend.

We ordered the Meat Lover Lángos for 2,990 HUF, and it turned out to be one of the most affordable options we found. It was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It’s a popular street-side spot, and locals say this is one of the best places to get lángos. I just wish the vendor had been a bit more welcoming.

Very tasty langos place! The portion sizes are pretty big and generous, all freshly made and at a very good price too. The lady was very nice and welcoming. We probably came here almost every day of our trip and will definitely come back next time :)

Beautiful! Papi Langos was closed. This was voted close 2nd nearby to Madhouse. Fair enough!!!

First and last place I went to in Budapest! 1000% the tastiest place (albeit the only place I’ve had a langos) and because it was so good both times I won’t be trying my luck and trying anywhere else in the future! Such a reasonable price too, cheapest I’ve seen around. Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed, went for the traditional (cheese-sour cream) both times but they many other options! Thanks guys :)
