Budapest District XIX is one of Budapest's 23 districts. Life in the capital moves at a big-city pace: businesses often keep longer hours than in smaller towns, many shops, bars and restaurants stay open late, and nonstop shops serve customers around the clock. The Danube banks, Buda Castle and Andrássy út are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Széchenyi, Gellért and Rudas baths and the ruin bars of District VII draw visitors all year. Public transport is run by BKK, with four metro lines, trams, buses and the HÉV suburban railway; on Friday afternoons and before long weekends the roads out of the city jam up, so leave extra time. In Budapest, BKK passes and tickets can be bought in the BudapestGO app, and parking in the centre is charged by zone, typically on weekdays from 8:00 to 20:00.

Story to tell a month ago
Ecseri Market is more of an antique market than a vintage market. There is a lot of porcelain, old furniture, collectibles and various antiques, but very little vintage clothing. You can find the occasional vintage handbag or hat, but there is very little jewellery. Unfortunately, it is also quite rare to find items in really good condition. I found several vintage handbags, but most of them were quite damaged. If you are looking for antiques, porcelain and old collectibles, it is definitely worth a visit. However, if you are mainly interested in vintage clothing, shoes, jewellery and fashion accessories, I would keep my expectations low. Getting there from the city centre is quite easy. Take the blue M3 metro line and get off at Népliget station. From there, take bus 84E directly from the bus stop near the station and get off at the fourth stop. The bus driver was very kind and spoke English, which was very helpful. After getting off the bus, simply cross the bridge and the market is right there. We went on Saturday around 9:00 AM, which I think is an excellent time to visit. There were plenty of vendors and it was much easier to look around before it got busier. Overall, it

I loved it. I bought some at work some paintings I like the place it was decent. I saw a bar house secretary in perfect condition for 1000 bucks. Oh, I wish I could've brought it home.

Fantastic destination just 20min cab ride outside the main tourist drag. Saturday is the day to be there, but even during the week there will be a dozen or so stalls and stores open with vintage regional goods. Dont count on all the high demand items being legit, but there are a ton of real Hungarian bits of history to be had.

Tourist trap. Quite simply. And some of the sellers are awfully rude. Only good for, say, if you are a stylist or personal shopper, and need a special object for a production or client OR are rich with too much money and want something pricey yet unique. I found it quite disappointing. But I can imagine it was great a few years ago. I found exactly one object I liked, a Jewish Torah pointer, a yad. Quite interesting to learn this exists.

Interesting place for collectors and amateurs of any kind of antique and old things. With its authentic charm.. Not crowded at all at 12 p.m. I could find several beautiful peaces for reasonable price. There is small bar and toilet (what is important as the market situated out of the city).
