THEY INVITE renowned professors such as Dr JUSTIN PAUL. I would rate ELTE at the top of all other universities in Budapest.

ELTE is a good university in the centre of Budapest. Some of their professors come with a world-class background. Prof Gabor, Prof Justin Paul, etc. are globally known professors.

I came to ELTE as an Erasmus student in the Finance department. After studying at 4 different universities, I can honestly say that this is one of the most frustrating administrative experiences I’ve had. The university uses multiple separate websites and systems for everything (Neptun, moodle, inform, sharepoint etc.), and most of them are outdated and extremely user unfriendly. It’s easier to log into any bank account than these websites.. Course schedules appear only as lists instead of calendars, making planning almost impossible. Additionally, to view the course calendar, you have to re-enroll in every course you’ve already registered for, one by one. Also I still can not see my exam schedule. Even simple tasks like correcting a parent’s name on the system took over a month because no one knew who had the authority to fix it. The exam system is particularly stressful: you take exams on computers with a basic tablet and a nonfunctional calculator. Questions appear one by one, and you cannot go back. And you have only 30 minutes. It feels more like a test of how well you perform under extreme time pressure than an actual assessment of knowledge. I share one of my exam detail.

I can’t say anything about the academic environment, but the finance department is absolutely shitty. They are keep delaying my tuition fee refund even though Neptun clearly shows that the refund was initiated on December 22.it’s really getting frustrated now…. Worst experience ever
