Amazing church! Very Christo-Centric, theologically healthy, great teaching and worship. With ENGLISH translation!

The friendliest people I met in Hungary, a talented worship team God uses to bring him glory, and pretty decent preaching.

I went early to Wednesday's worship meeting. I stood in the foyer; smiling at people. No one approached me, to offer a welcome. I saw the American Pasror who had started Golgota, and informed him that I had watched, on YouTube, his preaching at Summer Camp that Sunday. I tried to have a conversation with the Pastor after the service. However, my time with him was cut short, as he wanted to speak to a female member of the Church. Not the Pastor's finest hour! I would go back the next time I was in Budapest. Hopefully the Church shall see the importance of welcoming strangers — in Jesus's name.🙏

I visit choir rehearsals, and they are amazing. We sing a lot of gospel and in this sacred space I leave all my problems behind. I have also met really nice people here.

Great worship and good sermon, translation professional. You can sneak in without anybody paying attention since there is nobody greeting you. For some this may be positive thing, for others, annoying. Must be bc of the local culture. There was one person standing in the main hall door but he was actively avoiding any eye contact. Maybe his task was to profile people, like pick pockets or something. If you want fellowship, this may not be the place. If you just want relaxing church service, this is for you. Great location.

I love going to Golgota. Healthy, Bible based, verse by verse teaching. Not the pastor's favorite topics, but the truth. Worship time is beautiful, a lot of spirit-filled professional musicians make it a special experience. You can watch the services live Sunday 10:00am, Wednesday 6:00pm, Friday 6:30pm.

You can really feel the presence of the Holly Spirit here

Golgota church has been my place of fellowship, Bible study, ministry and much more for 28 years now. Golgota Budapest is a large congregation, but you will find lots of activities involving a small number of people where you can build friendships and feel more like a close knit family. One most important thing is the healthy Bible teaching. I will forever be thankful for my first pastors (who were the first Calvary missionaries in Hungary) who taught us to search the Scriptures ourselves, to never believe anything just because the pastor has said so, but because the Lord says so in His Word. The truth sets free everyone who reads it 🙌
