Budapest District XXIII is one of Budapest's 23 districts. Life in the capital moves at a big-city pace: businesses often keep longer hours than in smaller towns, many shops, bars and restaurants stay open late, and nonstop shops serve customers around the clock. The Danube banks, Buda Castle and Andrássy út are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Széchenyi, Gellért and Rudas baths and the ruin bars of District VII draw visitors all year. Public transport is run by BKK, with four metro lines, trams, buses and the HÉV suburban railway; on Friday afternoons and before long weekends the roads out of the city jam up, so leave extra time. In Budapest, BKK passes and tickets can be bought in the BudapestGO app, and parking in the centre is charged by zone, typically on weekdays from 8:00 to 20:00.

It was fine. The rooms had a slight smell when I arrived, but after opening the windows, it was fine.

The worst hotel i have ever been! There is just one room among all that looks like the pictures from the website. The rooms were disgusting and very dirty. The toilet was broken, the sheets were yellow..the carpet was also dirty. The fridge looked disgusting...The faucet was rusty..i was afraid to shower there! I was scared to sleep there to not catch a disease. The food was gross and i found hair in it. Horrible!!!

The initial experience was ok. The person that greeted us was kind and helpful. That helped the overall experience. What did not help was the fact that the room had a lot of damages that could have been fixed: both the entrance door and the bathroom door were not staying shut. You had to lock them with the key. The bathroom ventilator was just in an ON position, making noise. I will give 4, not 3 stars, as I had a very relaxing sleep surprisingly.

I had to stay here because of the tourism company I decided to travel with to Budapest. Some things I didn't like were: the old design of the furniture, The rooms were cold and the heat didn't work. If you wanted to get a heater from the reception you had to pay 15 euros per night if I remember correctly. The hotel is pretty far from the centre so it will take a while to get there. The breakfast is actually okay to be honest. Maybe I'm not pretentious or I just settle with anything but I did enjoy it the 2 days i stayed there. My wet towels that were still wet the second day were changed while I was gone so that was a nice thing. Also the garbage can in the room was emptied. I think I remember seeing some stains in some spots in my room but nothing that would gross me out. The smell of the room was nice and the sheets, duvet and pillows smelled clean. One of the bed lamps had a string instead of an actual switch but it was still good and didn't seem dangerous. I didn't use the phone in the room for the reception because to me it's just easier to go down to the front desk and just ask rather than calling. It's a good hotel if you're not coming from a privileged neighborhood. 😉
