Such a fantasticly entertaining museum. Very interactive , some great photo opportunities which make things look so strange and the twisting tunnel really messes with your senses. Well worth the entry fee. All staff were friendly too. You could spend up to a couple.of hours here if you tried to complete all the tasks or quicker if you were just interested it the visual illusions etc.

Museum of Illusion-Budapest Wherever we travel, if we see a museum of illusions or a house of mystery, we must go. In the early spring of 2026, we went to beautiful Budapest. We found another fun one: the Museum of Illusions. It is located on one of the main streets in the city, Karoly. We had a wonderful time acting like children, which we do quite often, checking out the different illusions. It took some doing, but I was able to be the main dish in the first exhibit. I like the optics of standing upside down in a furnished room. Or hanging or falling from a window. They have a kaleidoscope that is a lot of fun for shooting stills or video. Sorry, I have no videos. I got in Vortex Tunnel, and the Tilted Room, and I was actually scared. The illusion tricking your brain is so good, it was frightening, but fun. The museum has hands-on brain twisters for you to put together which was frustrating to this old writer, but fun for younger people. The gift shop is very nice as well. I would have given the Museum of Illusions a higher rating, but the price is too steep in my mind.

If you want to experience perspective, optics and physics in a fun, engaging way than this is the place! I visited alone so, for the full experience one of the staff members was kindly accompanying me and made this so much fun and immersive! Thank you so much! For Budapest, this is a signature place you cannot miss!

The young staff is cool and helpful. Space has that vibe of a lot of people coming through. No toilet and no seating available inside. But it was great and interesting inside. Moderate prices and they have a souvenir shop at the end.

A special thank‑you to Lili for her kindness, guidance, and positive energy. She truly made our time there memorable.
