Amazing location and best way to chill on the weekend. Good drinks choices and lots of chairs. Shame it seems that swimming is not possible but at least the super dog friendly nature of this area makes watching the dogs all playing in the water makes it even more enjoyable.

I usually LOVE it here, the best place from all the options at Népsziget, BUT: I was very-very surprised and super disappointed today by the nature of the “nachos plate”. Based on their other foods I tried and well liked, I expected something with any amount of effort for my money, something with home made sauces at least, if nothing else topping-wise. They put a small portion of the cheapest, artificial tasting store bought “salsa” and “guacamole” next to a handful of naked tortilla chips and that is it for ca. 3000 forints. Please Kabin staff, let people know what to expect, if there is no capacity to make a normal meal out of some of the dishes…

Super chill riverside spot with an amazing sunset view! Perfect for hanging out after the work, grabbing a drink, and listening to live music. The atmosphere is relaxed and lively at the same time, though the trains passing overhead can get a bit loud, it actually adds to the vibe. Great place by the water!

Lovely spot by the Danube on Népsziget. Prices are fair – pretty much average for Budapest. If you enjoy sitting by the river with friends, it’s a perfect choice. There are regular tables, but if you’re lucky, you might find an empty cabin (“kabin”) on the shore where you can sit with your friends, which makes the experience even more special. The only downside is that they often play loud music, which isn’t the best if you’re looking to have a conversation A very chill place to relax by the water with a drink in hand.

Little hidden gem on the north riverside 20 mins from Budapest. Mostly younger generations visiting,. Lovely little tables everywhere, amazing views all over. No easy to find, as the road is going between old ruins.
