Please dine here! It's a small establishment so booking ahead is perfect but we were just wandering past having read the rave reviews online! And we are so glad that we did! The Italian cuisine, service and staff are authentic and wonderful (definitely treat yourself to a Moretti beer with your meal!). We were the last to leave and the team stayed late so we could enjoy our digestifs and limoncello without feeling rushed. They chatted and were attentive and friendly without being intrusive. To top off their exceptional hospitality: I accidentally left my handbag hanging on my chair when we left. As we navigated the winding streets back to our hotel, the pizza chef literally ran after us through the night to return it! It had my credit cards and was an expensive bag - what incredible honesty and kindness - and perseverance! I am still in awe of how far he ran and how many streets he had to check to find us!! Please support this brilliant team at La Tarantella. Their pizza, pasta (and carbonara) are absolute perfection. Thank you so much, we can't wait to return! ❤️

As an Italian, you MUST try this place if you’re in Budapest! The staff is the nicest, the food quality is a 10/10. The ingredients are Italian and there are vegan options in the menù as well. You won’t regret it🥰

Truly authetic Italian cuisine that you wouldn’t expect on a busy roadside. Plates were fresh and nicely prepared, regional dishes served as well, not just the typical prosciutti cotto, pizza mozzarella. Canollo was freshly prepared and excuisite!! Tiramisu on the contrary was rather light and not full bodied, I’d go with a different dessert.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ La Tarantella in Budapest was absolutely wonderful, truly a little piece of Italy in the city. Everything about the experience was amazing and I honestly cannot decide which dish I liked the most. The mortadella pizza with pistachio and burrata was phenomenal, full of flavor and perfectly made. The lasagna was simply the best I have had in Budapest, rich, comforting and incredibly delicious. Now I completely understand why this place is so well rated on Google. The food is outstanding, the service is excellent and the staff are warm, charismatic and very welcoming. I felt genuinely well taken care of from the moment I arrived. Everything was impeccable and I will definitely be coming back.

We had such an amazing experience at this place! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was so inviting and warm thats it honestly felt like being welcomed into someone’s home. The staff were super, super friendly and went out of their way to make our time there the best possible. The food was just as incredible. We tried pasta, pizza, and bruschetta, and everything truly tasted like authentic Italian cuisine, fresh, rich, and absolutely delicious. We couldn’t leave without dessert, so we had tiramisu as well, and it was the perfect way to end the meal. Overall, the atmosphere, the food, and the people made this a standout experience. I’d definitely recommend it whether you’re going with friends, on a date, or just looking for a cozy place with a friendly, home-like vibe. I’ll definitely be coming back!
