We wanted to try Langos while we were in Budapest. In the touristy parts of town, they just didn’t seem to be the real deal. We simply jumped on the 20E bus looking for something interesting and out the window, we saw this place with a lineup of people. As it turned out, they were all locals. We managed with a bit of finger pointing and bad translating on our part to order a Langos with the basics (garlic sauce, sour cream and cheese with bacon. We watched the dough being stretched and fried to a nice crispy texture. Once we started munching into it we knew that we hit the jackpot. The lady serving us was understanding and kind. Take the time to head out if you are after the genuine Langos while you are in Budapest.

The Lángos we had here was amazing. We ordered 4. None of us could finish it. Lots of topping on it. Arrive hungry or share 1 between two of you. CASH ONLY. They don't take cards.

Street shop with a couple of benches nearby. Friendly staff, good quality & very affordable. Ideal as quick lunch, definitely worth the detour on the way to the city centre.
