A lovely bookstore just down the street from Mátyás-templom and across from the Hilton. A well-curated collection of Hungarian books including a number in translation. The owner Annamária is very warm and helpful and you’re sure to walk out with more books to enjoy than you’d intended!

This bookshop exists and is definitely open despite some reviews to the contrary. Smallish but some English books and a nice selection about Budapest / Hungary.

Aki még nem találkozott a Litea sugározta kulturális hangulattal, a vezetőnő, Bakó Annamária hozzáértő, a könyvkiadás terén széles tájékozottságot mutató szivélyes magatartásával, az igyekezzen pótolni, az élete az illetőnek teljesebbé válik a Lítea meglátogatása után. Bakó Annamária élete bizonyítja, hogy egy hely szellemét elsősorban nem a hely adottságai határozzák meg, hanem aki azt irányitja. Ezt az üzletet is ugyanolyan élettel, hangulattal tölti meg, mint a korábbi, nagyobb fizikai lehetöségekkel rendelkezőt. Öröm, hogy a.Hess András téren tudja továbbra is a széles törzsközönség számára azt a megszokott hozzáértést, szívélyességet nyújtani. Hála a könyv és kulturabarát önkormányzatnak.

Such a unique place of dream. A super combination of a cafe and book store. So you can take book from the shelves, read while you have your tea or coffee. If you like the book you can buy it. Possible to find beautiful posters, souvenirs, calendars, etc. Staff are very hospitable and goodwill. Definitely a place to visit. If you like cultural atmosphere, you will definitely like the place. In the winter time, guests can enjoy of the embracing warmness of the piece of art blue tiled stove.
