About Loyola Café

Loyola Café is a restaurant in Budapest District VIII. It is listed at Budapest, Horánszky u. 20, 1085, one of the local businesses residents and visitors turn to.

Restaurants in Hungary usually open from around 11:00 until about 22:00, while bars and ruin bars stay open much later from Thursday to Saturday. On weekdays many places serve a napi menü, a fixed-price lunch of soup and a main course, typically from 11:00 to 15:00. Book a table for Friday and Saturday evenings and public holidays. Many bills already include a service charge (usually 10–15%); if not, a tip of around 10% is customary but never compulsory. Many restaurants also accept the SZÉP card, the employer-funded leisure card. In restaurants the bill usually comes only when you ask for it; check whether a service charge is already included before adding a tip. If you are planning a birthday or another celebration, ask about a private room and a set menu.

Published opening hours: Mon–Fri 10:00–15:30, Sat–Sun closed. It is open 5 days a week. Sunday is a day off. Hours can differ on public holidays and long weekends, so check before you go. The listed phone number is +36 70 776 6603. It is shown in international format with the +36 country code, so it works from Hungary and from abroad alike; within Hungary you can also dial 06 instead of +36. More information is available on its website, facebook.com.

Great place to eat a daily menu with good variety and delicious food. It's a good value for the price. The service is friendly and you can also bring your own container to take away

It’s a cafeteria style restaurant with very reasonable prices. It can be very packed but worth the wait.

Authentic Hungarian dishes prepared in the "old style way". Regardless of the self-service, limited number of dishes, the options are great (2 soups, 2 main courses, vegan options, desert), and the menu changes daily. The service is super friendly, the atmosphere is lovely with checkered red tablecloths, great portions, retro decor, and cleaning off the table.

Cheap but correct place with a lot of tables. Good for having lunch quickly. The food is delicious considering then price. It has typical Hungarian cousine and good atmosphere with nice staff.
