Old fashioned Hungarian restaurant with mismatched chairs and tables beside the Istvantelek railroad tracks. Food is tasty and well priced.

A világ legjobb pacal pörköltje itt kapható. Kb 40 éve járok ide. Akkor még apukammal és az tulaj apukája főzött. Egy igazi retró hely

A Szerencs utcát és az északról érkező vasúti síneket elválasztó sorompótól vagy húsz méterre fekszik a "Sorompó büfé". Sűrűn beáll itt a kocsisor. Egy ügyes pincér a sorban állókat ki is szolgálhatná a várakozás perceiben. Az étlap a kis épületen belül a kiadópult feletti táblán terül el. Sok év alatt csiszolódhatott le a törzsvendégek által elvárt 12-15 féle ételre. Állandó kínálat: babgulyás, pacalpörkölt, sertéspörkölt tarhonyával, a vargabéles és egy házi specialitás: velőstojás. Bevallom, még nem próbáltam. A Marika féle házi ízekért jönnek ide a környékbeli dolgozók, de néha jóval messzebbről is, mint például ma az új 7es BMW-vel érkező építési vállalkozó (valaki súgja: 50 millióba került a verda). Most orjaleves a plusz, rá is csapok. Sajnos torma nincs a külön fogyasztandó csontos húshoz. "Mustárt tudok hozzá adni" biztat Józsi, de arról lemondok. A tészta is picit túlfőtt ma, a többi rendben. Kicsit azért jobbat vártam volna. Amennyiben szereted a hagyományos házikosztot, s nem zavar a csorba tányér, leharcolt étkészlet, és a kissé sivár belső, akkor érdemes kipróbálnod.
