It's amazing place and one of the most recommended in the city especially for families with children. The exhibition is interactive and very interesting. You will find there information not only about Hungary, but all regions across the world. Children have chance to touch, feel and enjoy the exhibition like not any other historical museum in Budapest.

A beautiful designed building housing many great exhibitions. When visiting we managed to see one of the temporary exhibitions (Rituals of Beauty) and one permanent exhibition (Zoom - A change in perspectives, which was about Hungarian culture). The museum is laid out well, has a bag locker (you will need a 100 ft coin), air conditioning, a cafe and plenty to see.

The Museum of Ethnography in Budapest completely blew me away! The new building located in City Park is an absolute architectural masterpiece, the futuristic curved design with the massive green rooftop garden offers incredible views over the city. Inside, everything is super modern, interactive, and beautifully laid out. The collection of traditional costumes, ceramics, and cultural artifacts is massive and presented in such an engaging way that you never get bored. We spent hours wandering through the exhibitions and taking in the panoramic views from the roof. It is a brilliant blend of avant-garde architecture and rich heritage, and definitely a must-visit spot when you are in Budapest!

I wanted to visit inside, but didn't get much information about the ticketing. There were different types of tickets with different prices. So i skipped the tickets and visited outside of the museum which was interesting with design and architecture. Ride upto rooftop through outside, the view is so good. You can sit and enjoy the view through rooftop.

Absolutely awesome and certainly a must-visit in Budapest. The Museum of Ethnography is beautifully designed, with a striking modern structure that perfectly complements its rich and diverse collections. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated, offering fascinating insights into cultures from Hungary and around the world. It’s both educational and engaging, making it a rewarding experience whether you’re a history enthusiast or just exploring the city. Highly recommended. Allow at least two hours to visit all the exhibits.
