I visited uj pest OBI. Eva in plant department was helpful. She helped me to put together my order. She is kind and knowledgeable. Helping me to locate the right products. Gabor in thr wood department was helpful in selecting the right materials. Petra at customer service was also helpful in arranging the home delivery. This might not be the most well-stocked OBI around but the kind staff certainly make up for the shortfall in products. UPDATE 🚨 Buyer Beware: Fire & CO Alarms – Don’t Get Fooled by Store Staff! 🔥 I want to share something important for anyone buying smoke, heat, or carbon monoxide alarms in Hungary (or anywhere in the EU, really). Many shops — including major chains like OBI — are still selling old stock of alarms manufactured as far back as 2022 or earlier. These devices may look new in the box, but the clock starts ticking from the manufacture date, not when you first power them on. Despite this, a staff member at OBI tried to convince me that the "10-year life" starts when I activate the alarm. That is completely false — and dangerously misleading. 😠 👉 The sensors inside these alarms (especially CO and smoke detectors) degrade over time, even if unused. That’s why they typically have: A manufacture date Or a “replace by”/“install before” date And once that date hits, the alarm may fail silently, or worse, give a false sense of safety. Always check the packaging or the device itself for a manufacturing or expiry date. Don’t rely on what shop staff tell you — most are una

I found what I was looking for. It was a bit hard to find a shop assistant, but was able to. The purchased, compatible items were operational (sink drain and tubes) but leaking a bit. After all an extra sealing ring solved the leak, so success. Cashiers were moderatley slow and the place is a bit dirty, but it worked.
