Lovely historical place, they have temporary exhibits as well. The staff members are very friendly. They have a small cafe on the main level that offers refreshments, snacks, sandwiches and coffee. Also perfect for reading and studying. Buy tickets at the main entrance, single, discounted or group/family tickets.

Just look at it from the outside, don’t waste your money on a ticket to go inside unless you’ve got a particular interest in something inside. As somebody who doesn’t speak/read Hungarian, there was nothing much inside. The Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library was more worth the money as the architecture of the building and rooms were more interesting.

I can only review this place from the outside as I didn't go in, but it is a beautiful building. Definitely a must see in the Várkert.

Very good public library, wide variety of books, magazines, newspapers, magazines, maps, etc. From time to time there are special exhibitions. Librarians are speaking languages, they can help you out by searching and/or requesting books from stock. Enjoy, have fun, silence please. ;)
